Leon is a "Nomme de Brush" of Gerhard Neswadba, who was born in Darmstadt in 1941. The works under his own name are somewhat Impressionist. Those using the name Leon are of a Classical Romantic Landscape theme with a stunning clarity which is ever popular. Early in his career he exhibited his works, but soon established such a reputation that he sold his paintings too fast to gather a collection for an exhibition.
