Andrew Carrick Gow (1848-1920)was noted for painting historical, military and genre scenes as well as portraits. Exhibited at The Royal Academy frequently from 1867 onwards as well as other major exhibition Galleries. Eleceted a full member of the Royal Academy in 1890, the noted Victorian Art critic approved of his work.
